Fairfield Inn & Suites Princeton

We had a fine stay. Jordan did a great job of getting us checked in and she was very thorough. The King suite is nice because it offers more space and 2 TVs. We liked the lighting above the closet because it offered dim lighting at night while watching tv before bed. However, management needs to address a few things, at least in our room. 1. There was way too much open space when the glass shower door was closed, so tons of water got on the floor. Looks like the molding was removed. 2. A little bit of paint would make a huge difference in freshening up the room. The breakfast was okay, not as bad as some but not as good as others in Fairfield Inns. The room appeared clean and a few sanitary wipes were left next to the tv remotes, which we always appreciate. I appreciated the two disposable make-up remover towelettes provided in the bathroom. The mini fridge was plenty cold and the AC worked well. We found plenty of nearby dining options for dinner. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.

Clean! Seems new and friendly. Complimentary water. The price for a room varies from moment to moment online, for some reason. Princeton is the best place to stay for many miles around. I would stay here again if I had business in Bluefield or Tazewell.

You get what you'd expect at a Fairfield. Nice rooms, clean hotel, friendly staff, usual breakfast. Location is an easy exit from I-77, but far enough from the road that you don't get highway noise. Only drawback for me was the nearby area. Fast Food Heaven. This is not the exit to choose if you are looking for a quiet sit-down dinner after a day om the road. Best I found nearby was one Outback Steakhouse.

Although not brand new, the hotel is very clean and comfortable. It was a great value and the staff was helpful and friendly . Breakfast was included and delicious. I would highly recommend and we will definitely return.

I booked a suite to stay the night with my kids to break up a long drive. The door to an adjoining room had a gap on the bottom that you could reach under from both sides. I woke up in the middle of the night to someone trying to get into our room using a tool they slid under that door. Not a safe place. Front desk wouldn’t answer the phone. Manager won’t return my call- not what I expect from Marriott!

We stayed overnight in September while making our way down to Disney on a girls road trip. Upon check in we were welcomed with a smiling staff member who gave us our room key and then thanked us for being platinum elite members. We found our room which upon arriving we found the door open, we didnt have to use our room key. We did end in one person just to double check the room. Only to find out the door doesnt close fully. We have stayed at Fairfield inn & Suites in various locations before so we knew what to expect for breakfast. We were a bit disappointed in the selection of beverages & food offered but we still managed to find something to eat. We did not use the pool as it had just closed when we arrived. But we did check it out in the morning before we left. Overall we had a nice stay the beds were really comfy. It is a bit further out from the road than we were expecting our GPS kept wanting us to take some road in the middle of no where to get there. But for a quick overnight stay we did the trick.

Not what I've come to expect from a Fairfield Inn. The hotel is newer but the cleaning seems to be haphazard. There were new towels in the room, but there wasn't bar soap for the sink and the surfaces weren't cleaned well. I.e. there was a couple spots of something on the vanity and smudges on the counter with the TV. Also it seems like the body lotion container had been used since it wasn't full.

I really wanted to like this hotel---and I did until I looked down the next morning and saw that the prior occupant had left several large nail clippings on the carpet--and not delicate ones. And this meant that the room cleaner had not seen it and vacuumed them up. GROSS. WHY do we have to live like this these days in so many hotels?? Pay your staff more if that is what it takes to get people to do their jobs. The front desk people were really good but COME ON---someone needs to inspect the rooms after they are 'cleaned.'

We stayed at this location twice within a week, once going south and then coming back home. We have stayed here before and have a good indication as to what to expect. First, the good: the staff was excellent. No issues and we were well taken care of. Second, the room the first night was fine, the second night the bed was creaky. Now to my issue, and the only issue that would have made this a five star, and that is the breakfast. On the first trip there was no orange juice, and coming back, there was still no orange juice. The fruit selection consisted of an apple and there was no Danish or quality muffins. I know what to expect from a Fairfield breakfast, but this one was lacking. The individuals working the area were excellent, keeping tables clean and stocked. But, the breakfast selection was not all that great.
